Drawings on collages
Pierre Grau begins by preparing backgrounds for the life drawing session. He selects various magazines and tears out a few pages, which are then cut or torn. These carefully chosen fragments are glued together to create a new background image. The drawing process can then begin. The model poses, and Pierre Grau draws on this collage.
The interest of the process lies in the random interaction of the drawing with the prepared background.
